Something interesting happens during great competition. There is a respect that’s earned by your opponents. Even though you’re trying to demolish them, there is a small part of you that can appreciate them. They obviously have gone through some of the same things that you have, and endured some of the adversities that you’ve faced to get to this point. And if it weren’t for them, who would you have to compete against. So in some ways, we should be thankful for our opponents. It’s the presence of opposition that makes us want to rise higher and achieve more.
